Impact Fundraising

This course is about Impact Fundraising, which is presented as a rigorous stress test for impact-driven business models, emphasizing that capital acts as a filter to ensure a company's impact potential is paired with a viable, scalable business case. It argues that genuine impact and financial return are not opposites, but rather a "dual engine" necessary to challenge and change existing systems, moving beyond superficial "green" ideas.

In this course, you will learn the systematic, non-romanticized process of convincing investors by developing a robust, dual-outcome pitch that equally emphasizes measurable Impact KPIs and financial returns. You'll gain a toolkit for crafting a killer pitch deck based on the proprietary Unity Based Valuation (UBV) logic, understanding the psychological triggers of different impact investor types, and navigating the unique capital sources (like blended finance) in the impact sector.

Andjela Cvetanovic is an Investment Manager at Capacura and has a background in business administration and strategic entrepreneurship. She brings expertise in organizational development, KPIs, and controlling – combined with practical investment experience in the venture capital sector.

Her career spans both corporate and government environments, including positions at the European Chemicals Agency in Helsinki, Fresenius Kabi in Bad Homburg, and Lupus Alpha Asset Management in Frankfurt. Internationally, she gained research and market insight experience in Sweden and Finland and contributed to the global startup scene as a volunteer supporter at Slush. Building on a strong academic foundation, she wrote a critical master's thesis at Jönköping University on entrepreneurs' access to financing through ICOs.

Today, she leverages this diverse expertise to empower both startups and investors – by combining strategic planning, process optimization, and financial analysis with the dynamic world of impact investing.

Fun fact: Andjela once met Santa Claus in Rovaniemi, Finland – which is why she believes that true magic happens when vision meets execution.
